Bruno Avila 68, passed away on Saturday, March 02, 2024 in his longtime companion’s home.
Bruno was born October 06, 1955 in Cadereyta, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Bruno is preceded in death by his mother, Lucia Alejo Avila; a grandson, Joshua Lee Smith-Avila; brother, Juan Avila; and sister, Aurora Avila.
Left to cherish the memory of Bruno are his children, Deanna Avila, Matthew Avila, Justin Avila, Brian Avila; longtime companion, Virginia Hatfield; his brothers, Robert & Agustin Avila; sister, Angela Avila; and multiple grandchildren.
Bruno worked for Instant Lube for many years, and for Sampco and Goodwill. After retiring, he worked on lawn mowers and weedwhackers in his back yard.
Bruno enjoyed being outdoors with animals and nature. His favorite things to do were gardening, squirrel and bird watching, he fed them both, the squirrels would take peanuts out of his hands. He had 2 cats, Whiskers & Hershey, and fed the neighborhood cats and played with them. He even spayed and neutered a few. Bruno also had a dog, Buster that he loved, he died a few years ago. He also enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales to find a good deal. Bruno loved spending time with his daughter watching TV shows and movies, and his grandchildren.
