Brian David Pawlowski
November 29, 1969 ~ January 7, 2024 (age 54) 54 Years Old
Brian David Pawlowski was born on November 29, 1969. Brian died in Naples, Florida, on January 7, 2024, after a courageous 15-month battle with cancer. Brian lived a short but full life.
Brian graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1988. While in school he gained an affection for bowling. As a junior bowler, Brian was smitten with a girl named Carlene Kay, who would many years later become his bride. Prior to his marriage to Carlene, Brian proudly earned his greatest title…dad. Brian is survived by his son, Mason Pawlowski, who was Brian’s absolute greatest pride and joy.
Family, friends, and hobbies brought Brian great joy. Brian spent his career as an IT specialist for the Northern District of Indiana Federal Court. He built many friendships and truly loved his career at the courthouse. Brian always looked forward to family time and the fun at the gatherings. Many of his closest friends came from time spent at Parkway Lanes where his enjoyment for bowling was life-long. Those who knew Brian would agree that it was rare to ever see Brian without a Starbucks coffee in his hand. One of Brian’s favorite hobbies was his eBay business. He loved the hunt for a rare find and the thrill of his phone’s “cha-ching” when he got a sale. And, we can’t leave out his status as the Cubs’ #1 fan.
Brian was preceded in death by his dad, David Pawlowski, and his mom, Becky Morningstar. He is survived by his love, Carlene, and his adored son, Mason. He is also survived by his two sisters, Andrea and Annette, his stepdad Ron Morningstar, his stepchildren, Cassie, Lanie, Lexi, and Will, his mother-in-law, Michelene Kay, his sister in-laws and brother in-laws, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
Brian did not let cancer define him. He woke up every day and lived with bravery and a positive attitude. He was grateful for God’s grace of the gift of time and Brian understood that God had a plan for him.
