Billie May

Billie May, 86, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025, at his home in South Bend.

Billie was born in South Bend on November 4, 1938, to the late Frank May and Vera (Phillips) May. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was currently working at MegaPro in Niles, Michigan where he has been for many years. Billie loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He also had a deep interest for antique cars. He loved his job and was proud of the fact he was still working.

Left to cherish the memories of Billie are a daughter, Laurie Freiberg; daughter, Kimberly (Fred) Willis; son, Frank May; son, Billie (Connie) May Jr.; son, Jeff (Christina) May; son, James (Joni) Bradberry; brother, Earl “Sonny” (Helen) May; brother, Michael (Jean) May; grandchildren, Jessica, Destinie, Laura, Nick, Leighann, Michael, Ashley, Steven, Shannon, Dustin, Bill, Christopher, Rebecca, Hali, Jamie, Jordan, James, and Jenna; 35 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and one more great-great grandchild on the way.

Billie was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Frank, John, Albert, George, Mary, Rita, and Donald “Butch”.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 22, 2025, at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road. Friends may visit from 12:00 – 1:00 pm, one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in Billie’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
