Betty Anne Chrzan

Betty Anne Chrzan, 85, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023.

Betty was born to the late John & Elizabeth (Priebe) Whitinger.  On May 18, 1957 Betty married her loving husband of 59 years, Joseph D. Chrzan. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2016.

Left to cherish the memory of Betty are her children. Michael Chrzan (Suzy), Laura Hertel, James Chrzan, and Lynn (Barry) Urban; grandchildren, Adam Chrzan, Joseph Hertel (Jasmyne), Jessica (Rich) Benninghoff, Kristina Urban, and Anna Urban; great-grandchildren, Destiny Chrzan, Blake Chrzan, Jaxon Hertel, and Terra Benninghoff; and many dear family members and friends.

Betty was a parishioner of Holy Family Parish and enjoyed working Monday Night Bingo. She enjoyed gardening and used her artistic skills to create beautiful flower landscapes. Betty loved spending time with family and playing with her grandchildren. Her life was well spent being available to everyone else, whether it was on her porch swing or driving hours to where she was wanted. She would be your biggest cheerleader or your strongest shoulder, whichever was needed, and would share her famous cookies.

Visitation will be 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Friday, June 23, 2023, in St. Joseph Funeral Home, Mayflower Rd, with a Rosary to be prayed at 3:30 pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Donations may be made in honor of Betty Chrzan to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
