Bernadette "Bea" (Mikolajczak) Tomkiewicz

Bernadette "Bea" (Mikolajczak) Tomkiewicz, 77 years old, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

Bea was born on September 21, 1946 in South Bend to the late Clem and Ann (Hyduk) Mikolajczak. On December 2, 1989, Bea married the love of her life, Joseph P. Tomkiewicz, who preceded her in death. Bea was also preceded in death by her son, Todd Kowalewski; and her brother-in-law, Jerry Hess.

Left to cherish Bea’s memory are her children, Michael (Lori) Kowalewski and Melissa (Bob) Kush; her grandchildren, Christopher Kush, Zac (Katie) Kush, Molly Kush, Gavin Kowalewski, Rebeca Kowalewski, and Andrew Kowalewski; her brother, Charlie (Georgia) Mikolajczak; and her sister, Mary Hess.

Bea enjoyed spending her days going to garage sales or different auctions, as well as making various crafts and playing bingo. She also loved hosting Christmas at her house and having the whole family over.

Friends and family will be received from 2:00pm-6:00pm Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S Mayflower Rd South Bend. Burial will take place at a later time at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
