Amanda Kay “Mandy” Temple, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on June 24, 2026, at the age of 50.

Born on April 22, 1976, Amanda lived a life defined by creativity, resilience, and love. She graduated from Indiana University South Bend with a degree in Graphic Design and Photography, turning her artistic talents into a career and lifelong passion.

Amanda was deeply creative and found joy in many forms of art. She had a strong passion for music, loved reading, enjoyed watching movies, and had a unique ability to appreciate beauty in the world around her. Whether through a camera lens or simply sharing the things she loved with others, Amanda expressed herself with authenticity.

Those who knew Amanda best knew she spoke her mind. In her younger years, she was known for being straightforward, strong-willed, and never afraid to say exactly what she thought. As the years passed, that strength softened into a gentle spirit, and she became known for her quiet kindness and the deep love she shared with those closest to her.

Amanda’s greatest happiness was found in the life she built with her devoted life partner, Tom. Though they never married, they shared a loving and lasting partnership filled with companionship, laughter, and unwavering support. In her later years, Amanda treasured the simple moments spent with Tom and their beloved cats, with whom she shared a remarkably deep bond. They brought her comfort, joy, and a sense of home.

Amanda was a beloved daughter, a loving sister, and a proud aunt. She will be remembered for her creativity, honesty, fierce independence, and the immense love she gave to her family, Tom, and her cherished cats.

Though Amanda is no longer with us, the memories she created, the photographs she captured, the music she loved, and the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Amanda was the oldest of three siblings and was preceded in death by her youngest brother, Adam Temple. Though they are no longer with us, we find peace in knowing they are together again.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Amanda was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Hershel and Mary Willis; her paternal grandparents, Arthur and Viola Temple; her beloved youngest brother, Adam Temple; her aunts, JoMary Temple, Candy Weiner, Marsha Willis, and Viola Temple; her uncles, John Temple and Doug Kaczorowski; her cousin, Mark Willis; and dear family friends, Walt and Trudy Gaza.

Amanda is survived by her devoted life partner, Thomas Barzyk; her parents, Pat and Roxann Temple; her sister, Andrea Kuntz; her nephews, Ethan (Rachel) Kuntz and Benjamin King; her nieces, Lillian Kuntz, Samantha Kuntz, and Laney King; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

In lieu of funeral service there will be a celebration of life to be announced at a later date.
