Albert M. Suter, Jr

Albert M. Suter, Jr, 87 years old, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026 at his residence in South Bend.

Albert was born on May 25, 1938 in East Chicago to the late Albert M and Lorenda (Giannini) Suter, Sr. On September 5, 2020 in South Bend, Albert married Kathy Stevens, who survives. Along with his parents, Albert is also preceded in death by his first wife, Belinda Lea Suter, who passed in 2007; daughter, Jenny Neireiter; son and his wife, Martin and Cathy Suter; grandson, Anthony Suter; and his brother, Larry Suter.

Albert is survived by his son, Bill (Gail) Suter of Walkerton, IN; daughter, Brigid Suter -Thallemer of Lemoore, CA; 9 grandchildren, Rebecca, Pat (Sangitha), Ryan (Beth Ann), and Adam (Brett) Suter, Jamen Suter-Donaldson, Reilley and Britt Thallemer, Isabella and Penelope Neireiter; great-grandchildren, Harrison and Maya; as well as his sister, Sue Walter of Dekalb, IL.

Albert graduated from Bishop Knoll High School in Hammond and went on to earn his degree from Purdue University. He worked as an Electrical Estimator for Colip Electric in South Bend until his retirement in 2008. Albert was an active member of the South Bend Rotary Club, the Knights of Columbus, and the National Electrical Contractors Association. He was also a devoted parishioner of the Cathedral of St. Matthew, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
