Linda Jackson Williams

Linda Jackson Williams, 76 years old, residing in South Bend, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, in South Bend, IN.

Linda was born July 15, 1947, to the late Sam and Etta (Riley) Jackson. She was the 3rd of 13 children. Siblings; Sam III, Jannett, Danny, Condolla, Anthony (Patricia), Andrea, and Laymon (Stephanie) Jackson.  She is preceded in death by siblings (James, Marvin, Micheal, Lynette, and Darren Jackson). 

On December 23,1967, Linda married the love of her life for over 56 years, Lin whom she led to Jesus Christ through prayer. 

Linda is survived by Husband, Lin Williams; three sons, Warren (Cynthia) Williams, Sean Williams, and Kareem LaMonte Williams. Linda will be remembered by her grandchildren, Skyler, Aaden Williams, and Kirkland Winters; in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, as well as many friends and acquaintances that came across over the years.

Linda J. Williams was a God-Fearing woman, a Prayer Warrior, and never had a negative word to say about anyone. She served many roles within the church community and worked as a servant for the Lord. Linda supported many family and friend functions, and she always was willing to help. Linda gave back to the community by volunteering her time to help those in need. She loved to travel and experience new things. Linda really enjoyed tending to her plants and flowers.

Linda J. Williams was employed by the Department Motor Vehicle for many years as a clerk to Management. Prior to retiring, she also worked for Saint Joseph County.

We, the family wish to express our sincere appreciation for the cards, messages, floral, condolences, and other expressions of sympathy extended during our bereavement. They’ve lightened our burdened of sadness immeasurably. We want each of you to know we shall forever remain grateful for your kindness and thoughtfulness.

Services will start at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Redemption City Church, 1836 Portage Ave, South Bend, IN 46616, with an hour of visitation prior to the service. Private family burial will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis at 10:15am on Friday, April 12, 2024.

Romans 14:8:” If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.”
